This battery replaces two alkaline C cells batteries in series.  These primary cell batteries are not rechargeable, but have up to six times the capacity of alkaline cells.  These batteries were created specifically for trenchless transmitters used in horizontal directional boring machines like those made by Vermeer and Ditch Witch.

Case is made of leakproof welded steel.  Approximate shelf life is 20 years.
